Transforming Lives: Introducing the Punuka Foundation Childcare Center Scholarship Program

At Punuka Foundation, we are committed to creating a world where every child, regardless of their neurodiversity, has access to opportunities that help them thrive. In line with this mission, we are excited to unveil our Childcare Center Scholarship Program—an initiative designed to provide transformative support for neurodivergent children aged 4 to 10 years living in Lagos and its environs.

This scholarship program is not just about education; it’s about creating a holistic, nurturing environment where children with Autism, Mild Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome can receive the care and specialized attention they need to thrive.

Why This Scholarship Program Matters

Neurodivergent children often require tailored support that goes beyond traditional educational frameworks. Unfortunately, many families face financial barriers in accessing high-quality care. This scholarship aims to remove those barriers by offering a fully funded place at our state-of-the-art weekday boarding facility.

At the Punuka Foundation Childcare Center, children will benefit from:

  • A Comprehensive Support System: Our facility provides weekday boarding, giving parents peace of mind and children a safe, structured environment to learn and grow.
  • Specialized Therapy Services: Our team of therapists includes experts in speech pathology, occupational therapy, educational therapy, play therapy, and behavioral therapy. These services are designed to address the unique developmental needs of each child.
What the Scholarship Covers

The regular cost of our services is ₦4.2 million annually, but through the scholarship program, this fee will be fully waived. However, we require a modest monthly commitment of ₦50,000 to ₦100,000 from parents to support upkeep and childcare needs.

We understand that not all families may be able to meet this financial commitment. If this applies to you, don’t worry—apply anyway! We will conduct a financial needs-based assessment to determine whether this monthly contribution can be waived for your child.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is open to neurodivergent children aged 4 to 10 years residing in Lagos or its environs. Our priority areas include:

  • Autism
  • Mild Cerebral Palsy
  • Down Syndrom
